Biopower Engines
Saab BioPower is a revolutionart innovation. Fill it up with bioethanol (E85) fuel and you will get even more power. At the same time, you'll help substantially reduce fossil CO2 emissions compared with running on petrol. If E85 is not available you can simply fill up with petrol or any mix of two.

Safety Cage
Made of high-tensile steel and designed to shield the occupants. Sandwiched between crumple zones front and rear that absorb and dissipate crash forces. The robust B-pillar is designed to work as a pendulum and bend inwards at the bottom to lead crash forces away from the occupants. The reinforced doors have protective beams and overlapping sills that help prevent door intrusion into the cabin.

ReAxs system
A chassis geometry system that ensures smooth interaction of the steering, front suspension and multi-link rear axle. ReAxs enables the rear wheels to steer slightly when turning, helping the car move in the intended direction. It provides crisp steering feedback and contributes to enhanced driving stability in curves.

Two-Stage-Turbo-Diesel
The latest development of our turbo engine technology, found on the new 1.9 TTiD engine. One smaller and one larger turbocharger co-operate to provide higher torque over a wider rev range. The smaller turbocharger works alone up to 1800 r/min. After that the second-stage turbo kicks in and both chargers run. Above 3000 r/min, the larger turbo charges the engine below.

Turbo V6 engine
The V6 Turbo with 250 hp is incredible. It’s loaded with masses of torque from idle to redline. Power delivery is instant and accompanied by an exhilarating sound from the sports tuned exhaust pipes. In combined with XWD you will get 280 hp and 400 Nm.

Bi-Xenon-Conering-Headlights
With an electronically controlled system that turns the headlights when you turn the steering wheel. Help to further improve visibility on winding roads. Bi-xenon headlights give a broader low beam and better kerbside visibility. For high beam, the bi-xenon lamps are supplemented with halogen lights that give a long and broad throw. Beam length is adjusted automatically.
