About 1,800 athletes and supportive spectators gathered at the Marina Bay precinct on 8th June for the 2008 Saab City Duathlon.

Saab is proud to be the Title Sponsor for this year’s City Duathlon, a sporting event which clearly represents what Saab is all about; performance and the drive to challenge oneself to go further every time. Athletes had to complete a 55km distance, made up of a 10km run, 40km bike race and a final 5km dash to the finish line. For the novice, there was a half duathlon category where the distances were halved.

Showing full support for the event, Trans Eurokars fielded several teams, comprising Ms Ong Lay Ling, Managing Director of Trans Eurokars, who ran 5 km in the relay event. Many Saab customers also formed their own teams or took part in the individual section. In addition, participants and supporters also took part in the fun-filled Saab SportCombi Gear-up Competitions and Jigsaw Puzzle Games at the event grounds, adding delight to many spectators.
